Our Approach to Community
Dr. Rana Shahi, Dr. Priscilla Young, and Dr. Ivan Yi built this practice on the belief that specialized periodontal care should be accessible, clearly explained, and delivered with genuine care for every patient who walks through our Wilshire Blvd office. That commitment shapes how we treat every patient in Los Angeles, Brentwood, Westwood, and Beverly Hills, not just how we participate in outside initiatives.
Supporting Humanitarian Dental Outreach
Members of our team have volunteered their time to support humanitarian dental missions abroad, including a trip to Sundarijal, in the Kathmandu Valley of Nepal, organized in partnership with SmileOnU, a nonprofit organization that provides free dental care to underserved communities. On that mission, volunteer dental providers offered extractions, fillings, and cleanings to help address the oral health needs of nearly 1,000 local children and adults who otherwise have limited access to dental care.
Patient Education & Oral Health Awareness
Periodontal disease is one of the most common, and most preventable, health conditions we see, and it's closely tied to overall health. We take the time with every patient to explain what's happening in their mouth, why it matters, and what steps protect their teeth, gums, and long-term wellbeing. We see education as a core part of community care, not an afterthought.
A Part of the Los Angeles Community
Our practice has served patients from across Los Angeles, including Brentwood, Westwood, Beverly Hills, and the surrounding Westside neighborhoods, for decades. We're proud to be a long-standing part of this community, and we continue to look for ways, large and small, to support the people and neighborhoods we serve.
